Vladimíra Kotra
Vladimíra Kotra is a photographer whose first major series captured the mysterious atmosphere of the forest. Her current work is developing in a more documentary direction, where the photographic narrative is complemented by text. At the forefront of her interests are themes related to self-discovery and spirituality. She enjoys pushing the boundaries of human thinking toward greater tolerance and openness to the mysteries of this world.
She became widely recognized thanks to her authorial book Chimera, which was shortlisted in 2018 at the Photobook Festival in Kassel, Germany, as well as in Riga and Singapore. She has exhibited in numerous shows in the Czech Republic and also abroad. In 2015, she won second place in the portrait category of Czech Press Photo, and in 2019 she received an award from the Association of Professional Photographers of the Czech Republic.

Vladimíra Kotra je fotografka, jejíž první větší fotografická série zachycovala pohádkově tajemné obrazy lesa. Aktuálně se její tvorba vyvíjí dokumentárním směrem, kde je fotografický příběh doplněn texty. V popředí jejích zájmů jsou témata spojená s hledáním sebe sama a spirituality. Ráda posouvá hranice lidského myšlení k větší toleranci a otevřenosti pro mystéria tohoto světa.
Do širšího povědomí se dostala především díky autorské knize Chiméra, která se umístila v roce 2018 v shortlistu fotograficko knižního festivalu v německém Kasselu, taky v Rize a Singapuru. Vystavovala na řadě výstav u nás i v zahraničí. V roce 2015 získala druhé místo v portrétní kategorii Czech Press Photo a v roce 2019 ocenění od Asociace profesionálních fotografů ČR.
